blog of day;

Foreign objects can sometimes work their way into the sinuses; either debris accidentally embedded, such as twigs and grass, or such things as peanuts and bits of plastic toys stuck into dogs’ noses by children.

There is a mite that is occasionally found in the frontal sinuses.

The first step in the treatment of sinusitis is ridding the animal of the causative agent. Antibiotics, antihistamines, and steroids are used at the discretion of the veterinarian. Unfortunately most dogs don’t tolerate nasal sprays and nose drops!
