Blog of day;
Tumors appear in the nostrils and the sinus passages, either on one or on both sides. They are usually malignant and give a poor prognosis. If there is a discharge of blood from one or both nostrils, be suspicious of a tumorous mass in the sinus cavities (see Respiratory Disorders in this chapter).
Mammary tumors usually are seen in older, unspayed females, and because they increase in size after the heat period they are believed to be correlated with excessive female hormones.
In some cases we treat breast tumors with male-hormone injections at periodic intervals, which seems to control their size.
